This saying is true in a sense but not entirely. Although I will say that having money will help you in your goal to make money online. Not to say that there are not any free ways to make money online, but in my experience if you want to make a serious amount of income working online with a survey site you will have better success with a program with an access fee as opposed to a free program. This is mainly true when it comes to survey sites. It seems that survey sites with a one time service fee have a larger database of surveys for you to take as opposed to a free one. Obviously the free survey site has its advantage though, its free, which means the money you earn is all profit. But to keep the site running the free survey site takes a small part of the income you make doing the survey, limiting the amount you are paid for your work. This is fine if you are looking to only make a little extra money every month, but if you want to make serious money you will eventually need to join a survey site with a one time service fee or work at referring people to the free site, assuming they have a referral program. When you join a survey site you pay a one time service fee and that's it. They do not take any of the money you make and they generally have a larger database of surveys for you to take part in. As always the choice is yours though and only you know which sites will suit you best.
